Getting Started
What is LifeHub?
LifeHub is a family safety and location sharing platform. It brings real-time location, geofenced place alerts, driving safety reports, crash detection, and one-tap SOS together in one app, alongside everyday household tools like shared tasks, calendars, and bills.
How do I create an account?
Download LifeHub, open the app, and tap Create Account. Enter your name, email, and a password to get started. You can begin on the Free plan and upgrade any time from Settings.
How do family circles work?
A circle is your private group — your family or household. Create a circle and invite members, or join one with an invite. Your location is only shared with the circles you belong to, and you can leave a circle at any time.
Is LifeHub free?
Yes. The Free tier includes real-time location sharing for your circle, two saved Places with arrival and departure alerts, and SOS emergency alerts. Paid tiers add longer location history, more Places, driving reports, crash detection, and more.
Location Sharing
How does LifeHub track location?
LifeHub uses your phone's GPS to share your location with the circles you join. Updates run in the background with your permission and stop the moment you leave a circle or sign out.
Why isn't my location updating?
Make sure location permissions are set to Always, that Background App Refresh is enabled, and that battery saver isn't restricting the app. Reopening LifeHub will also refresh your location right away.
Can I stop sharing my location?
Yes. You're always in control. You can pause sharing or leave a circle at any time from the app, and location updates stop immediately.
Places & Alerts
What are Places?
Places are saved locations like home, school, or work. LifeHub can notify your circle when someone arrives at or leaves a Place, so you know everyone got where they were going.
How do I add a Place?
Open the Locations tab, tap to add a new Place, then drop the pin on the map or search for an address. Name it, save it, and arrival and departure alerts turn on automatically.
What are late-arrival and no-show alerts?
You can set a schedule for a Place — for example, expecting someone home by 6 PM. If they haven't arrived by the deadline, LifeHub sends an alert so you can check in.
Driving Safety
How does driving safety work?
LifeHub detects trips automatically and analyzes driving behavior such as hard braking, rapid acceleration, and speed. After each trip you get a summary, and a driving score helps track safer habits over time.
What are driving reports?
Driving reports give you trip history, scores, and a breakdown of events for each drive. Availability depends on your membership tier.
SOS & Crash Detection
How does SOS work?
Tap the SOS button to instantly send a high-priority emergency alert with your location to everyone in your circle, so help can reach you fast.
How does crash detection work?
LifeHub uses your phone's accelerometer to detect sudden impacts above 3.5 G. When a crash is detected, a 30-second countdown begins — if you don't cancel it, an SOS alert is automatically sent to your circle. You can toggle crash detection in Settings.
Membership & Billing
What membership tiers are available?
LifeHub offers four tiers: Free, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Higher tiers unlock longer location history, more saved Places, driving reports, crash detection, and additional features. See the Membership Plans page for full details.
How do I upgrade or change my plan?
Open Settings and choose Membership. You can upgrade, downgrade, or manage your subscription there. Billing is handled securely through Stripe.
How do refunds work?

Privacy & Account
Is my location data private?
Your location is only shared with the people in the circles you join. It is never sold or shared with advertisers. You can pause sharing or leave a circle at any time.
How do I delete my account or data?
You can request account and data deletion from within the app. For full details on what we keep and for how long, see our Data Retention & Deletion Policy in the Legal Policy Document Center.
